DUCOMM
When a Fire District resident calls 9-1-1 for a medical, fire, or law enforcement emergency, the call is answered by Ducomm. Ducomm is a consolidated 9-1-1 dispatch center that serves the majority of Dupage County communities. Ducomm is funded through local tax dollars budgeted by the Fire District and 9-1-1 surcharge funds. Ducomm is responsible for dispatching Fire District personnel to all emergency incidents. Residents of Dupage County can participate free of charge in a program called Smart 9-1-1. Smart 9-1-1 is a service that allows residents to voluntarily provide personal safety related information such as health info, pets, disability, and special notes that is seamlessly provided to Ducomm 9-1-1 dispatchers during an emergency call. Residents are also elible to participated in The Premise Alert Program Act (PAP) which allows residents with household members that have special needs, or disabilities, the ability to provide information that can be given to police and fire personnel during an emergency response. The information is entered into the DU-COMM CAD database. If interested, please complete this FORM and drop it off at Fire Station #6 located at 200 Fremont Street. The form will then be forwarded to Ducomm.
