Emergency Medical Services

In addition to the 2 Ambulances that are staffed on a 24 hour basis, all of the sworn members of the West Chicago Fire Protection District are trained in emergency medicine to the Paramedic level.  Although you may see Engines, a Tower Ladder, or Ambulances arriving on a scene, you can be rest assured that all members arriving at your emergency are properly trained and that all vehicles carry Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipment.  All of our members are licensed in the State of Illinois and operate within the Central Dupage Emergency Medical System.  Members participate in continual training to ensure the highest level of skill and knowledge.
