OCCUPANCY INSPECTIONS

The Fire District participates in the City of West Chicago Occupancy/Pre-sale/Construction Inspection program for non-residential occupancies.  The City of West Chicago manages the scheduling of inspections areas in the corporate limits of West Chicago.  To schedule a City of West Chicago inspection contact Community Development at (630) 293-2200.  To schedule an inspection for an unincorporated area, contact the Fire Marshal at (630) 231-2123. 

NOTE: If you are a new Warehouse/Manufacturing operator (or you are moving from another West Chicago location) within our jurisdiction, you will be required (at your expense) to perform a 3^rd Party fire sprinkler v. commodity analysis as a requirement for occupancy with a copy of the report provided to the Fire District.  All issues identified from the analysis will need to be addressed prior to occupancy approval.  While you may use any Illinois licensed fire protection consultant, the following Illinois licensed fire protection consultants may be contacted as a possible resource for analysis services:
