District Ordinance

The West Chicago Fire Protection District has enacted several ordinances related to community risk reduction. The Fire District has adopted the following 2021 International Code Council (ICC) model codes with additional amendments: 2021 International Fire Code; 2021 International Building Code; 2021 Existing Building Code; and the 2021 International Property Maintenance. The adoption includes all referenced standards within the model codes.

Additionally, the Fire District has enacted local amendments to the 2021 ICC codes. The amendments address multiple areas including requirements for fire alarms, fire sprinklers, storage practices, and others.
